Acceptance

By purchasing or using Notedog, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Notedog on devices associated with your Google Play account. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify the app.

Your Data

All journal data is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for your content and for maintaining backups. If you configure Git sync, you are responsible for the security of your remote repository and credentials. If you enable the tunnel, a small amount of account data is stored on our relay; see our Privacy Policy for what we store and how to delete it.

No Warranty

Notedog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or damages arising from the use of this app, including but not limited to issues with local storage, Git sync, or the LAN web server.

Tunnel Service

When enabled, the tunnel routes traffic through a relay we operate, on a best-effort basis with no guarantee of availability; treat remote access as use-at-your-own-risk. You agree not to use the tunnel to host unlawful content or to abuse, overload, or attempt to compromise the relay. If you connect a third-party AI assistant (for example via MCP), you authorize that service to access your journal through the tunnel at your own discretion and under that service's terms.

Subscriptions, Purchases & Refunds

Notedog is free to download. The internet tunnel (remote access from outside your local network) is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play, which acts as the merchant of record. The subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel; you can manage or cancel it any time in the Google Play app under Subscriptions, and access continues through the end of the paid period. Billing, taxes, and refunds are handled by Google under their refund policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be included in the next app update and posted on this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
